Some of the software packages and simulation setups are provided as pre-compiled docker images.

What is docker?

Docker images are also used by the continuous integration (CI) of the GitLab service. This allows to compile and test code changes automatically within pre-compiled environments.

Installing docker

Docker Engine is available on a variety of Linux platforms, macOS and Windows 10 through Docker Desktop, and as a static binary installation. Detailed instructions can be found on the external webpage https://docs.docker.com/engine/install/.

docker hub

docker hub is a community service for container images hosted by Docker, Inc.

specific docker hub namespaces

The Bergen pCT project is using the namespace bpct on docker hub to provide container environmentsfor the software of the project.
